APPENDIX to the minute of meeting of the Roads Committee of 12 October 2000 (Article 1(b) refers)

MINUTE of MEETING of the EXECUTIVE SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE ROADS COMMITTEE held in the Committee Room, Town and County Hall, Forfar on Thursday 14 September 2000 at 1.00 pm.

Present: Councillors SANDY WEST, STEPHEN LESLIE(Substitute for KITTY RITCHIE) and ROBERT MYLES.

1. MINUTE OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The minute of meeting of this Sub-Committee of 13 July 2000 was submitted and approved as a correct record.

2. EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS

The Sub-Committee resolved, in terms of Standing Order 27(2), that the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item so as to avoid the possible disclosure of information which was exempt in terms of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, paragraphs 6, 8 and 10.

3. ACCEPTANCE OF TENDER ­ A930 DUNDEE STREET, CARNOUSTIE ­ CARRIAGEWAY OVERLAY

With reference to Article 9 of the minute of meeting of the Roads Committee of 27 April 2000, there was submitted Report No 975/00 by the Director of Roads detailing tenders received for the overlay of the carriageway on the A930 Dundee Street, Carnoustie. The basic elements of the project comprised the overlaying of the existing carriageway between Barry Street and High Street and the replacement of road markings.

The Sub-Committee agreed to approve the acceptance of the lowest tender submitted for the overlay of the carriageway of the A930 Dundee Street, Carnoustie, being that submitted by Leiths (Scotland) Limited in the amount of £68,447.95.
